Job Advert
Would you like to be part of our exciting service expansion?
We have an opportunity for enthusiastic Perioperative Assistant Practitioners to join our teams at the NHS Golden Jubilee University Hospital, as we expand our Orthopaedic Theatres with 5 new theatres opening in 2023 and the continued development of our General Surgery and Colorectal services.
Join our team to expand your knowledge and skills, in areas such as robotically assisted knee replacement surgery and inguinal hernia repair. You will also have the opportunity to participate in our pioneering robotic programmes – the Rosa and Mako robots in Orthopaedics and the Da Vinci robot in General Surgery.
There is an opportunity for further learning and development in this role, with in-house development courses on offer. Our Clinical Education team is also on hand to provide support, from staff induction to delivering monthly education days in areas such as Basic Life Support and Manual Handling, as well as speciality specific training sessions.
As we continue to expand our services, this is your chance to become part of a progressive, dynamic, person centred and reputable team, within a world-renowned healthcare organisation. You should be educated to SVQ level 3 and scrub experience in Orthopaedics or General Surgery would be desirable, however training will be provided should your experience be in another speciality. The post holder should also demonstrate excellent communication skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude. A commitment to providing high quality, evidence based, safe and effective patient-centred care is essential.
This role requires flexible working over 7 days. Full and part-time hours are available. There may be a requirement to provide cover out of hours in the future.
