The Borders General Hospital in Melrose is a modern and well-equipped 240 bed DGH serving the Borders area in South East Scotland, approximately 36 miles from Edinburgh, well serviced by public transport links. A relocation package would be available for the successful candidates.
We are looking for committed, professional and dynamic nurses with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with people. If you are passionate about quality patient care and have a real commitment to delivering high standards whilst ensuring that our patients have the best possible experience while in our care, then you’re the person we want.
Opportunities are available within our Surgical wards and also within our Planned Surgical Admissions Unit. All roles are permanent appointments, and we are able to offer the flexibility of full or part time working.
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse holding a valid NMC Registration. Please indicate in your supporting information the areas of work which would be of interest to you.

Final year nursing students are welcome to apply if you are to graduate and obtain NMC registration later this year. If you wish you can commence as a Band 4 Health Care Support Worker pending NMC registration.
Overseas Nurses are welcome to apply if you have confirmation from the UK Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) that you are eligible to sit the practical test of competence (OSCE) to apply to join their professional register and they have issued you with an NMC PRN number.
