Community Palliative Care Specialist Nurse
Starting salary on appointment: £38,025 WTE per annum (at 12 month review, salary may rise to £41,958, subject to satisfactory performance) pro-rata for part-time hours + unsocial hours allowance + Pension

Exciting positions have arisen in our Community Team for a Community Palliative Specialist Nurse. You’ll be a Registered Nurse, with excellent communication skills and significant experience in palliative care.
You’ll be responsible for specialist holistic assessment and planning of care to meet the patients and carers practical, psychological, spiritual and social needs. This post will involve working within the community setting therefore having a valid driving licence and use of a car is essential. The ability to work over seven days (5 days out of 7 on a rota Mon-Sun). Successful candidates will benefit from our comprehensive training and education programme.
As an RGN with a recognised academic qualification in palliative care, degree level or above, or experience. You will have extensive experience of working with people with palliative care needs, proven clinical skills, excellent IT and telecommunication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will have a full valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work and the ability to work over seven days (5 days out of 7 on a rota Mon-Sun).
Experienced candidates who do not currently meet the essential postgraduate qualifications set out in the person specification, but who are willing to undertake further postgraduate study, may be considered for appointment to a training post.
