HIS has set out an ambitious and exciting Digital work programme for 2022/23 focused on our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) architecture, digital transformation and our staff capacity and capability.  This is an exciting time to join the Digital Services Group (DSG) and support us in achieving our future vision for HIS.


The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior ICT Support Analyst to join our small, but highly talented and growing team to provide third line ICT support, maintenance of infrastructure across HIS and lead on technical projects.

Working in the ICT Team in DSG you will have the opportunity to provide expert ICT support that will directly inform the development and delivery of digital services to a diverse, multi-disciplinary healthcare organisation located across Scotland.

What we like to see

Senior ICT Support Analysts offer a broad range of skills and experience, if you can offer some or all of these, we would like you to apply:

Proven experience in managing the operation, maintenance, support, testing, rolling replacement and security of ICT infrastructure

A clear understanding of a number of the technologies listed below:

Operating systems (Windows Desktop [all versions], IOS and Android, Windows Server [Virtual and physical] 2012-2019)

Active Directory, SCCM, Firewalls, Networking, Backup, Cloud, Security, Storage, Antivirus, Threat Protection, Web Filtering, Network monitoring and Service Desk software

Microsoft: In Tune; ATP; MDM; Azure; Exchange Admin Centre and Exchange Online

M365 (for example Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Power BI etc)

Highly experienced in leading on the provision of solutions to complex issues with the ability to provide lead technical guidance on projects, changes and upgrades to services 

Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team

Highly effective communicator knowing how to make complex technical information and language simple for a diverse, multidisciplinary workforce (both verbally and in writing)

Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, to organise and prioritise your workload and to meet strict deadlines

Location

Although HIS staff are currently working in a hybrid manner between home and office, as this is an Senior ICT support role there is a requirement to attend our offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh and our data centre in Livingston.
