Our Community Palliative Care Team provides specialist advice, guidance and support to patients at home, in care homes and community hospitals. Part of the Community Staff Nurse role involves getting to know the patient and their family well enough to allow them to talk about how they are feeling, their worries and anxieties. As well as advising on symptom control, medicines and treatments, our nurses ensure people are getting the practical help they need, from agencies such as Social Work Home Care. We currently have full and part time opportunities to join our dedicated nursing team.

Community Staff Nurse 

Starting salary: £30,395 WTE per annum (at 12 month review, salary may rise to £33,902 WTE per annum subject to satisfactory performance) + unsocial hour’s enhancement shift allowance + Pension + Benefits​​​​​​​

Full-time and Part-time positions available * Secondments of at least 12 months will be also considered *

An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring and compassionate registered nurses to join our Community Hospice Team

You’ll be a Registered Nurse with excellent communication skills and an interest in palliative care, working within the community.

The Hospice Band 5 Community Staff Nurse will be responsible for ongoing holistic assessment and planning of care to meet the patients and carers practical, psychological, spiritual and social needs.  This post will involve rotation across two services working within the community setting and also as a coordinator with the Hospice at Home Team.

A valid driving licence and use of a car is essential for this post.  Successful candidates will benefit from our comprehensive training and education programme.
