Principal Educator
15 hours per week

Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
What you'll do
Key tasks will include but are not restricted to;
- Collaborate with colleagues working in health and care across Scotland to positively contribute and influence national priorities.
- Work in partnership with colleagues across NMAHP and NES on a range of relevant work programmes, for example, school nursing continuing professional development, Solihull approach, children’s rights and The Promise.
- Provide professional advice and consultancy on a range of educational issues.
- Design collaborative evaluation approaches to demonstrate the impact of education.
- Liaise with a wide range of key stakeholders to lead, develop and deliver education and workforce development activities.
What you'll bring
These will include but are not restricted to;
- Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse-Health Visitor or School Nurse.
- Proven experience in developing, commissioning, managing and evaluating development programmes/activities.
- Experience in the development and delivery of a range of training programme elements and developing learning materials.
- Significant experience of managing large and complex projects/programmes.
- Experience in leading and managing new and existing educational developments.
- Ability to build highly effective relations internally and externally is key as well as excellent facilitation, presentation and strategic thinking and analysis skills.
