Applications are invited from a suitably qualified diagnostic Radiographer wishing to join the Ninewells Radiology General X-ray team with a focus on Cardiology. The applicant will receive full training in Cardiology Radiography. The successful applicant will be expected to work as part of the team providing the radiographic element of the Primary PCI service. Shift patterns are currently predominantly on a rotating roster; however, this service may also require an on-call component. Applicants must hold an appropriate diagnostic radiography qualification and be HCPC registered.
Previous experience in Angiography would be an advantage.

Graduate radiographers will be supported to develop skills and competencies which will allow them to operate as autonomous practitioners with limited supervision of their clinical work.  In accordance with Agenda for Change Annex 20, skills to perform autonomously at Band 6 level must be developed within 12 to 24 months after starting employment at Band 5 level.     

Hours of work are:  37.5 hours per week. 08:30-20:00, 20:00-08:30 and weekend shifts of 0800-2000, 2000-0800. Some night and weekend shifts may be covered on an on-call basis.
