This post will be based within the Occupational Therapy Community Adult Mental Health service based initially in Riverside Resource Centre in Glasgow’s vibrant west end. The post holder will deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with severe and/or enduring mental health problems. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and the North West Occupational Therapy team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent core occupational therapy skills and the ability to evaluate interventions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with relatives, carers and partner organisations is essential to the post. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise occupational therapy students once established in post and contribute to the overall development of the service. The service provides regular supervision and opportunities for continuous professional development. The successful candidate will be part of a well-established Occupational Therapy service which focuses on evidence based practice and effective multidisciplinary working.
The hours are worked Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
