Job Advert
Due to an expansion of our service and increased investment, we have some exciting opportunities for band 6 Occupational Therapists to work with us across the Community Independent Living service as part of Dundee H&SCP. We have vacancies across different parts of our service enabling you to develop your own experience and core skills, as well as be part of innovative practise.
The Independent Living Review Team works with individuals and care staff in the community to create a culture of enablement, independence and supported self-management, reviewing and reducing the need for packages of care.
We are looking for therapists with a genuine interest in rehabilitation, a positive approach to integrated team working and a clear and confident ability to promote the value of Occupational Therapy.
As the successful applicant you will have relevant experience working as an Occupational Therapist within rehabilitation services, possess good communication and decision-making skills and have a positive approach to multidisciplinary working within an integrated team.
You will work in partnership with service users to provide Occupational Therapy interventions within their own home.
We provide excellent formal and informal supervision, and actively support individual development through performance development review, learning plans and CPD and promote and welcome quality improvement and innovative practise.
In line with current evidence and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health Professions will be moving towards 7 day working. This is for improved outcomes and to maximise a person-centred equitable approach to care. (NB Currently we do not provide a 7-day service).
