The Central Prescribing Team is looking for a pharmacist to support our delivery of advice and resources to the HSCP teams who deliver clinical and cost-efficiency prescribing support within Primary CareThere is a full time post but we would consider job share. This post would support Pharmacy Services aims and objectives within Primary Care by joining the small team who: Maintain electronic decision support tools. Handle request for unlicensed medicines, Identify, risk assess and produce support guides for cost efficiency initiatives, Produce advice on the management of drug shortages, Update clinical guidelines

Respond to general primary care prescribing related queries (patients, pharmacists. GPs. Nurses/ consultants etc) and Induct/train and provide support to new Prescribing Support staff. You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and be able to demonstrate a commitment to Continuing Professional Development. You must have relevant post registration experienceYou must have experience of directly working with primary care prescribing support teams and knowledge of GP systems. A secondment would be considered and if you wished to apply for this as a secondment please speak to your current line manager in the first instance.  It is essential that you have a Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and that you are currently registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.  You should be an Independent Prescriber or working towards it.  The shift pattern for this post is 5 days over 7 and it should be for example 1 x 2 day and 1 x 3 day or any combination to make full time 37.5hrs.
