An exciting opportunity for a passionate motivated nurse to join our fantastic Orthopaedic team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) has arisen. A rare position within our Trauma Liaison Team has become available.
Our hard working team have previously been awarded the Golden Hip, which is awarded to the highest overall performing hospital in Scotland for the care of hip fracture patients. Our trauma liaison service have lead this and continue to champion care for this group of patients. The unit itself comprises of 52 Trauma Receiving, 18 Elective beds, Fracture clinic, Virtual fracture clinic and the first Trauma assessment unit within GGC.
You will have the chance to work with innovative team members within multidisciplinary environments, you will work collaboratively across the unit. You will be supported, encouraged and appreciated within your role. There will be opportunities for enhancing your skills, through additional training and development which we offer and encourage.
The trauma liaison team support the trauma service Clyde wide 7 days per week from 06.30 am until 21.30 pm. As part of the trauma liaison team you will assist in the process of planning, organising and delivering emergency care and treatment to patients admitted to the orthopaedic department as the result of an acute orthopaedic problem or trauma.
It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.
This post is 37.5 hours per week, shift pattern includes a variety of shifts, including Public Holidays and weekends. We are looking for someone who is flexible, hardworking with a patient centred approach.
