Speciality Doctor 1 October 2022 until 30 April 2023

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking to recruit an experienced Speciality Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to join the North Ayrshire Adult Community Mental Health Service based at the Three Towns Resource Centre from 1 October 2022 until 30 April 2023. The successful applicant will join 4 General Adult Consultants working flexibly in North Ayrshire, covering community and/or hospital-based clinical work in defined catchment areas based on GP practices. Acute inpatients beds are sited locally in our purpose-built unit, Woodland View, within Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership has a well-established Community Mental Health Service supported by a 24 hour Intensive Service. The Terms and Conditions of service are those determined by the Speciality Doctor Contract and the post is offered on a 10 programmed activity basis. The post does not include participation on an on-call rota.
Applications from individuals who may wish to work on a job share basis will be welcomed, and workload will be reviewed regularly to ensure manageable and equitable distribution between the psychiatrists. Appropriately experienced applicants must have Full GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practice. The post involves travel and a full driving licence is essential.
