The Audiology Service in NHS Ayrshire & Arran is a busy clinical/technical Service caring in particular for the hearing needs of the local population.

The Service is looking to recruit a highly motivated, hardworking individual with an enthusiasm for working in a fast paced and at times demanding, people oriented environment where the role focuses primarily on front line duties that include reception and telephone work.

You will be the first point of contact for the majority of people attending the Service and therefore must exhibit both excellent communication skills as well as possessing a welcoming people focused demeanor and personality and have a good understanding of working with people with a sensory impairment.

This post is based at University Hospital Crosshouse but may require travel to other locations within Ayrshire & Arran on occasions.
 
In addition to excellent communication skills, previous experience of working in a busy patient/customer oriented role is vital as is a good level of computer literacy.

A car owner/driver is essential as occasional travel to our other sites may be required.

Hours: 37.50 per week
