NHS Tayside is responsible for commissioning health care services for the residents across Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross. The estate includes 3 major and a number of community hospitals, including the University of Dundee's Medical School, Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. The region also includes over 60 GP surgeries and a variety of health centres staffed by thousands of employees of the health region.

A permanent opportunity has arisen for the post of Estates Officer (Electrical) to meet the operational and (where required) strategic objective of the service within NHS Tayside.


Ensure compliance of service within agreed statutory, mandatory, safety, environmental, quality standards, policies and procedures and providing a safe working environment for patients, staff and visitors.


Design, Project Manage and Implement Estates Investment Programme, Minor Works and Maintenance.


Represent on an AD-Hoc basis for the Assistant Estates Manager or Maintenance Manager as required.


Technical Advisor Electrical and PPM System Planning

Assist with EMART data analysis

Environmental Auditor 14001


Liaise with other Tayside Wide Estates Officers/Trainees and Maintenance Managers.


Applicants will hold either a relevant professional or equivalent qualification plus additional knowledge in core discipline or hold a relevant Degree (as per specific appointment) with relevant professional knowledge.


Specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and practice to ensure compliance with all Statutory, SHTM, SHBN, SHFN, SHPN and Approved Codes of Practice and CDM Regulations as per specific appointment.


The Post holder will be required to work at any NHS Tayside property as necessary, therefore the ability to travel is essential.


You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
