NHS Borders have created a unique and exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated final year nursing students to join our friendly teams.
Band 4: Ward 16
Base: Borders General Hospital
Permanent Posts: guaranteed minimum of 11.5 hrs a week negotiable over a 4 week period to accommodate prioritisation of study and clinical practice placement
Benefits: You will be commenced bespoke 2 year developmental programme transitioning into your new Band 4 role and will provide additional skills prior to qualifying as a newly qualified midwife
The successful applicants will have excellent communication and time management skills with previous experience in clinical skills delivery and have knowledge and understanding of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care and can recognise pregnancy complications/deteriorating women/babies.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record.
