Post 3 Team Manager Biochemistry (Pan Lothian Labs)
The NHS Lothian Blood Science Laboratories comprising Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Biochemistry, Immunology and Serology are based on 3 adult sites (RIE, WGH & SJH).
This is an opportunity to develop your technical and managerial skills within a supportive team environment. Applicants will be considered from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists educated to Masters level (Masters or HSD) with experience in Biochemistry, Haematology or related disciplines.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with proven training and management skills. The ideal candidate will have experience at a specialist level in any of the blood science disciplines (Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Immunology or Serology). The post holder is responsible for maximising service provision, including enabling the delivery of a safe and effective service, and ensuring that all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met e.g., quality and training.
Post 1 Team Manager Based in Biochemistry WGH - Individual should have experience or an interest in Proteins but will also be required to work in Autocore Biochemistry within a supportive team.
Post 2 Team Manager Based in Haematology RIE – Individual should have experience or an interest in Morphology but will also be required to work in Autocore Haematology within a supportive team.
Post 3 Team Manager Pan Lothian - Individual should have experience or an interest in Quality Assurance processes. This post will work across initially within Biochemistry for all the Lothian sites with an aim to expand across the entire remit of the Blood Sciences.
