We are looking for a talented and user experience driven Webmaster to join NHS Fife’s Communication team. This new post will work with our newly appointed web agency to redesign, develop and user test the new NHS Fife website, scheduled for launch in early 2020.


You will also be responsible for continuing enhancement and maintenance of the new site to ensure it meets user needs. You will be responsible for making the site easy to use through a functional and efficient web infrastructure and an attractive and intuitive design.


In this role, we are looking for a detailed-oriented and excellent communicator. Balancing a creative eye with an analytical mind is essential. If you also have a strong technical background, we’d like to meet you.


Responsibilities:
• Build a functional and easy-to-use website
• Test website across browsers, operating systems and devices
• Maintain, configure and troubleshoot servers
• Ensure site security by working with our web agency in setting up firewalls and login pages
• Optimise loading speeds and capacity
• Debug pages and fix broken links or images
• Update website content and review SEO
• Monitor and analyse site performance (e.g. traffic, conversions)
• Address user complaints


Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Web Master or Web Developer
• Knowledge of web analytics and SEO
• Familiarity with web standards
• Working knowledge of website management tools
• Proficient in HTML/CSS, XML; knowledge of SQL and Javascript is preferred
• Proficient in Umbraco CMS
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to generate creative ideas
• Attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills
