This is a full-time permanent post.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in QEUH adult theatres department. They are looking to recruit a theatres supplies assistant to work as part of the theatres supplies team. This team incorporates service provision across three South Sector sites. This is an integral role supporting the theatre team with the transport, checking and delivery of our sterile instruments and effective management of the supplies required to deliver our perioperative services.
Experience working in the theatre, supplies or decontamination environment is desirable but not essential.
You should:
- be hard working, reliable and motivated.
- have effective written and verbal communication, numeracy and computer skills and the ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- be able to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service which presently runs over a seven day week.
Ability to participate in a regular rotational shift pattern is essential. Furthermore, you will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
