An exciting opportunity is available for up to 33.75 hours for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to be part of the South Glasgow Community Paediatric SLT Team.
The Speech and Language Therapy Service delivers a service to children and young people aged 0 to 18 years, which includes individualised assessment and care as well as targeted and population based care and supports. We require a proactive SLT with advanced clinical experience in the area of neurodevelopmental and complex conditions impacting children and young people. You are required to be HCPC registered, hold a clinical caseload and provide clinical leadership to other members of the SLT team. The post requires experience and understanding of leadership, improvement methodology and influencing change.
The post holder will:
- be a team player with previous experience in providing impact driven care to support children and their families.
- have experience and good outcomes working as part of a team around the child and with partners from other agencies.
- be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills when working with children, young people and their families as well as the wider staff and multi-agency team.
- be a motivated individual who welcomes the challenges of transforming care with a focus on person centred practice, trauma informed care and realistic medicine. Neuro developmental (ND) differential diagnosis and care planning is essential as is the ability to develop and support others practice in ND and the impacts of complex conditions.
