Base Helensburgh with Hybrid Working (consideration given to Lochgilphead base)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, creative and dynamic individual to join Argyll and Bute HSCP in the role of Management Accountant.
Working closely with the Senior Management Accountant and supported by an Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the provision of a professional management accounting service across a number of services including Primary Care Services, Prescribing, Dental Services and Public Health. Duties include monthly reporting, costings and analysis, budget planning, providing advice, and training on financial management to budget holders and senior managers.
Applicants should hold a recognised accountancy qualification and/or have suitable relevant experience with proven competence in financial management. Strong analytical skills, experience with systems, a proactive approach, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders are essential qualities. The postholder should demonstrate excellent time management skills, the ability of work to strict deadlines, be able to work on your own initiative and have team working abilities.
You may occasionally be required to travel between various work locations within the Argyll and Bute Locality to meet the operational requirements of the Service so a full driving licence is essential.
