HR- Recruitment Assistants
Office Based at West Glasgow ACH, Dalnair Street Glasgow G3 8SJ.
Working Hours is Fulltime 37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday
Agenda for Change Band 2 (£19,609-£21,615)
We have a great opportunity for temporary HR-Recruitment administrators to join our Recruitment Team where you will be responsible for the administration process for the recruitment of new staff joining NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde – from advertising vacancies, arranging and setting up interviews for hiring managers, pre-employment compliance checks to issuing offers of employment.
The role also includes handling a high volume of email and telephone enquiries from job applicants and our operational service managers recruiting staff.
Our Recruitment Team manage the entirety of the recruitment administration for all stages of the recruitment process for external and internal staff within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Our service operates as part of the organisation’s Human Resources function and is responsible for ensuring we maximise workforce resourcing capacity for all areas of clinical and non clinical staffing. There are around 40,000 staff employed by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which means our Recruitment Service is a very busy environment to work in and relies heavily on team working and providing high levels of customer service to a high standard for our hiring managers and job applicants.
In order to succeed in this role, and really enjoy it you must thrive on a busy admin environment where attention to detail is key. We deal with confidential information such as right to work ID information, employment contracts and pre-employment compliance checks such as criminal record checks, occupational health checks and employment references. In carrying out the duties of the role we are also bound by a number of legal confidentiality requirements.
We use a number of IT Recruitment, Human Resources and Workforce systems so applicants will require to have good experience with technology including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Microsoft Teams
Whilst advantageous applicants do not necessarily need to come from an in-house Recruitment/HR environment but must have solid administrative experience in a highly demanding and high volume customer led role.
Candidates will need to demonstrate recent experience of working in a busy operational admin role, completing tasks given by a number of different people/teams working to completion deadlines. This role requires candidates to operate in an environment where key priorities change on a daily basis.
It is essential that candidates are able to demonstrate through appropriate sections of the application form where they meet the essential criteria for this role in particular:
- Experience in Recruitment / Applicant Tracking IT Systems or similar, Cloud based technologies and HRMS systems.
- Have an organised and positive approach to work
- Pay attention to detail
- High standard of communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Evidence of operating as team player with a flexible approach to work
- An ability to work confidentially and tactfully with members of the public and colleagues at all levels with the organisation
The successful candidates will be engaged on a temporary placement which will be initially for 3-6 months through our NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Admin Staff Bank. As well as an hourly pay rate at the Agenda for Change Band 2 Grade; Bank Staff are eligible for paid annual leave entitlement.
