An opportunity has arisen for a Higher Clerical Officer to join the pharmacy Team at University Hospital Hairmires

The Post holder will be responsible for creating purchase orders for pharmaceutical stock, process goods received onto the stock control system, process goods which require to be returned to suppliers and liaise with suppliers. To support the procurement process for new and specialised pharmaceuticals and to provide clerical and administrative support to pharmacy

 ​​​KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB​​​​​​​

  • Practical knowledge of office systems gained through SVQ111 or equivalent
  • Experience of working in an office procurement environment
  • Understanding of Standing Financial Instructions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
