An exciting opportunity has become available to join a wider pro-active and dynamic community learning disability nurse service, with a particular focus on ASD, based at Kirklands - NHSL Headquarters. The post holder will take a lead role in developing, co-ordinating and facilitating high quality service for people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder. The post holder will provide specialist health care advice, support and education to NHS Lanarkshire staff and other external agencies.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
- Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery.
