The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Wednesday 08:00 – 17:00, Thursday 08:00 – 16:30
This post is part time, 34 hours per week. The base will be the cardiac investigations department at the Vale of Leven Hospital with an expectation that virtual help may need to be provided at times for Royal Alexandra Hospital during unplanned absence and vice-versa.
The role involves providing an efficient and coordinated appointment service in accordance with the waiting list to patients attending the cardiology department, dealing with telephone enquiries and management of the reception desk. There is also a need to assist in outpatient clinic management with increase or cancellation of clinics, ensuring appropriate in accordance with staffing levels (with guidance from cardiac physiology manager). The post holder will liaise with cardiac physiologists on a daily basis to ensure clinical prioritisation.
Essential
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a hospital, patient-facing environment.
Desirable
Experience of hospital systems such as Trakcare
Knowledge of cardiology investigations
