An opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic team based in HMP Inverness delivering mental health care and support to patients in the prison setting. with a specialism in Drugs and Alcohol Recovery. You will be responsible for the management and supervision of healthcare staff ensuring they support both the immediate and long term needs of the patient. Supervision and evaluation of a programme of evidence-based care to ensure the healthcare needs or the prison population in both short and long term prisoners are met. There are plans to build a new prison, HMP Highland, with an additional capacity to support prisoners locally, this post will be involved in the planning and preparation for ensuring models of care are in place to meet their needs and on going needs when liberated back in to the community.
We anticipate that the successful candidate has their Non Medical Prescribing or willing to work towards this whilst in post as this would aid in the delivery of the MAT standards and prescribing OST.
