​​​​​​​Glasgow HSCP are delighted to recruit to this new band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapy fulltime post within the Scottish Prison Service Healthcare team. The Lillias Centre based in Maryhill, Glasgow is a new community custody unit for up to 24 women. This is an exciting opportunity to establish an evidence based and psychologically informed occupational therapy programme which will meet the needs of a diverse and complex prison population. The successful post holder will be able to work to the top of their licence delivering a person centred service that will utilise their dual training. You will join a developing service with an occupational therapist already in post covering Barlinnie, Greenock and Low Moss prisons. It is anticipated that part of you clinical time will be utilised in the wider prison service. Educated to degree level you will ideally have experience of working a secure environment. Have post graduate training in a recognised psychological therapy and be up to date on physical rehabilitation techniques as well as equipment and adaptation provision. GHSCP Partnership occupational therapy services have a robust CPD training programme in place as well as professional supervision.
