Post:  consultant obstetrician and SUBSPECIALIST IN MATERNAL AND FETAL MEDICINE

Base: QUEEN ELIZABETH UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Applications are welcomed for a full time (40 hours per week, 10PA) Consultant Obstetrician and Subspecialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, based in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.  The successful applicant will join an established team of consultants providing comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological services to the population of south Glasgow The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of subspecialists in maternal and fetal medicine, obstetricians with a specialist interest in fetal medicine, physicians, specialist midwives, tertiary level neonatologists and neonatal surgeons to provide a range of regional and national fetal and maternal care services.

We are looking for a motivated, forward thinking colleague who will deliver care as a subspecialist in maternal and fetal medicine and will be committed to further develop their skills and support new initiatives. Ideal candidates will also have an interest in the management of pregnancies experiencing fetal loss. They will contribute to the assessment of the care in provided in these pregnancies by utilising national guidelines and PNM toolkit to ensure comprehensive parental care and to promote excellence in maternity pathways. The on call component of this post will be contribution to the obstetric rota.
