Practice Education Facilitator Band 6 – 37.5 hours/week Permanent

We are currently recruiting a highly motivated, dynamic forward thinking registered nurse with an interest in positively enhancing the learning environment and practice learning experiences by participating in education and development activities for Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors who are supporting health care support worker and pre / post registration students. Based in Clinical & Professional Development, you will also have the opportunity to support newly qualified nurses and midwives through the Flying Start programme.

Educated to degree level, it is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the NMC and have substantial clinical experience.  You will have completed the local Practice Supervisor / Practice Assessor preparation programme and have been previous mentor or sign-off mentor on the local mentor database.  You must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of pre-registration nursing education, current nursing / midwifery educational issues and knowledge of the Flying Start NHS Programme.  You should also have experience of teaching and organisation of teaching activities.  Current driving licence essential as driving between hospital sites may be required.
