Secondment Opportunity

 We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician or a Clinical Technologist /Radiographer to join our small, friendly department providing  radiopharmaceuticals to the Nuclear Medicine service for a fixed term maternity leave cover (one year).   The postholder should have relevant experience in good manufacturing practice gained from working in either a radiopharmacy, pharmacy aseptic unit or a commercial manufacturing unit.

The postholder will be required to work in the Radiopharmacy and will deputise for the Radiopharmacy Production Manager as required.  The Radiopharmacy is within the Nuclear Medicine Section of Medical Physics and operates under a Manufacturer's Specials licence issued by the MHRA.  

The department provides  a comprehensive range of diagnostic studies and out-patient therapies.  The postholder will be involved in the aseptic production of radioactive medicinal products for use locally as well as quality control and validation procedures.
