As a Project Support Officer you will deliver effective and efficient project management support to NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Cervical Incident Audit Team.
The Cervical Incident Audit has been commissioned by Scottish Government after a small number of people who had been excluded from the cervical screening programme following a hysterectomy were diagnosed with cervical cancer. These individuals should not have been excluded from the screening programme and following a review of records it was decided further investigation was required. We are recruiting a clinical audit team to undertake the review of Ayrshire & Arran residents that have been excluded from the cervical screening programme following a hysterectomy and this role will provide comprehensive project management support to the clinical team.
The role involves building relationships and engaging stakeholders from a wide range of clinical/ non-clinical teams within NHS Ayrshire & Arran, NSD and Scottish Government. You will be responsible for preparing project documents, reports and presentations, and presenting data in a meaningful way to demonstrate effectiveness of audit. You will also be responsible for the day to day operational management support of the audit team, ensuring targets are met and any risks are highlighted to the Clinical Lead of Programme Manager.
You will have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with the ability to apply a tactful approach when dealing with project issues and have the confidence to engage with people at all levels.
Ability to work under pressure and tight timescales is required while being able to work as part of a team and also on own initiative. Project management experience is desirable.
Hours: 37.50 per week, however part time hours would be considered (A hybrid model of working will be supported).
This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity for 12 months.
