NHS Highland eHealth Department has a vacancy for a Systems Specialist (Database Administrator). Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of databases to manage data security. Creation, monitoring and managing of Disaster Recovery solutions for these databases will also fall under your remit.

Working closely with other teams to design optimum performance into the infrastructure and to devise and implement data strategies, build models and assess organisational needs and goals, this is a varied role. Researching and recommendation of emerging technologies and toolsets will also form part of your role to ensure that NHS Highland have a modern, secure and cost effective database infrastructure.

​​​​​​​The successful applicant should ideally have knowledge of NHS clinical systems, SQL server and other database technologies. Personal initiative and innovative thinking are key to achievement of objectives.
