The Workforce Development Team, part of the Corporate Education Department, aims to inspire and inform career journeys and provide pathways and opportunities to our workforce. This is achieved by delivering work programmes such as apprenticeships, employability programmes and engagement with young people in education settings and beyond.

The team are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for B5 Project Support Manager (Employability), based at the Comely Bank Centre, Edinburgh; however, it will be required to have a blended approach with some home working.

This role will be well suited to highly skilled individuals who have experience of engaging with people in employability programmes, and experience in widening access delivery. This will require strong skills in communication, facilitation and engagement, leadership skills and project management. The successful person will be adaptive, innovative, resilient and have a proactive mindset.

You will have responsibility, in a fast-paced environment, line managing a team of administrators. You will influence the delivery of new and established employability programmes, in addition to school engagement and work experience. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands and embrace new ways of working is essential.

The post requires knowledge of employability, recruitment, project management and Quality Improvement, and a diverse skill set across all areas.  Formal education at SCQF 8 in Business/Management/Youth Work/Careers Advice is required to be eligible for this role.  More detail of essentials experience and knowledge is detailed within the attached person specification, please read this in full as only candidates who match all essential criteria will be considered in the shortlisting process.
