​​​​​​​There are 2 positions available with this vacancy.

As a Band 6 within a Community Adult Mental Health Team,you will have a key role in the assessment, treatment and support of adults with mental health issues residing within East Dunbartonshire. You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration, evidence of post basic professional development and effective communication skills.

As an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team the post-holder will work in partnership demonstrating compassionate caring behaviors to fulfil the key functions of the CMHT.  In particular the post-holder will be responsible for the assessment, formulation, implementation and evaluation of complex care that proactively involves the person and optimizes self-management.  The post holder is required to undertake duties without direct supervision as well as supporting and supervising work undertaken by registered and unregistered nursing staff.  The post-holder is responsible for proactively promoting partnership working with patients, carers and other professionals/ agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies.  This involves working in a variety of home/ near to home community environments.

Participating in as well as providing regular caseload line management supervision and Clinical Supervision and undertaking line management responsibilities are critical aspects of the role.   Supervising the practice of others, monitoring undertaking mentorship/ preceptorship responsibilities and supporting the team leader in the ongoing learning and development of the staff team and the CMHT key functions are important aspects of this role. This post requires that you hold a current driving license and a pre-employment checks will take place as part of GG&C Policy​​​​​​​
