The shift pattern for this post is days– Mon to Fri plus On-Call Requirement​​​​​​​

Salary – £22,218.00

​​​​​​​You will be based at Vale of Leven Hospital and will be required to work on all sites and properties within remit of department as routinely required.

The department role is to provide a safe, effective and efficient estates service to support clinical and administration activities within Healthcare and Acute Hospital Facilities.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing planned and breakdown maintenance and repair services in relation to all aspects of engineering and building services, plant and equipment.

You will be required to have completed a recognized and registered apprenticeship with post apprenticeship experience in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Plant Engineering, Heating and Ventilation Systems or Plumbing Services equivalent to SVQ Level 4 Higher National Diploma, Modern Apprenticeship – Level 4, Professional Development Awards (SCQF – 8-9). You should have a proven track record that demonstrates your practical core skills and application within your trade. In addition to your core trade it is expected that you will undertake work of other disciplines for which training will be provided as necessary.

 You will be in possession of:

  • HNC, B/Tech or City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Craft qualification or equal and approved.
  • A current full UK Drivers Licence for category ‘B’ class of vehicle is essential.

Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota to meet the needs and requirements of the service is required.

On occasion you will be required to work un-scheduled overtime or unsocial hours to undertake and or complete emergency repairs to ensure continuity of service.
