An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand the Psychological Therapies Groups Service within NHS GG&C by recruiting 1WTE Band 7 CBT Therapist or Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP).       

 The postholder will deliver evidence-based psychological therapy group programmes to individuals with moderate to severe and/or complex mental health difficulties open to adult CMHTs in NHS GG&C, contribute to the development of further psychological therapy group programmes, and the expansion of the service to reach other care groups, such as Addictions, Clinical Health and Older Adults. For candidates with specific competencies and/or interest in working with specific target care groups, some flexibility will be considered in the relative proportion of their jobplan dedicated to delivering groups to specific care groups. 

 The postholder will join the established and supportive Psychological Therapies Groups Service in NHS GG&C. They will receive supervision from Clinical Psychologists, and have access to support and CPD opportunities. They will supervise low intensity psychological interventions delivered by MDT colleagues, to increase the availability of psychological interventions within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and will provide supervised clinical placements to trainees undertaking formal training towards a CBT qualification and/or MSc trainees undertaking the Masters in Psychological Therapy in Primary Care.
