The shift pattern for this post is Weekdays – Mon-Fri

This post provides secretarial and administrative support to the Rehabilitation Service in North West Glasgow. The service provides inter-disciplinary rehabilitation to people in their own homes and receives referrals from a range of sources and by a range of methods.

The post-holder is required to staff the effective delivery of the service’s central point of contact with patients and other health and social care staff for referrals and enquiries. Alongside this will be the provision of administration to ensure the efficient and effective running of the service using a variety of office systems and as delegated by the Senior Business Support Assistant. The post-holder is required to use initiative and resource while exercising a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy and tact.

The post-holder is required to have excellent communication skills, including responding to calls from patients with communication impairment. They are required to ensure that information is passed on accurately and timeously to the team.

The post-holder operates within pre-determined procedures and parameters and is required to act independently at times, prioritising work with periodic review from supervisor. An excellent level of digital literacy is essential.

This includes extensive skills in using core Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Teams). Ability to operate phone systems, scanners, printers and other standard office devices is also essential. Familiarity with EMISWeb or other electronic health and care record system, HR applications, and on-line procurement and asset management systems is desirable.
