NHS Tayside has recently developed their Digital Strategy and at the heart of this lies an ambition to develop a modern Electronic Patient Record (EPR). This is an exciting time to join NHS Tayside Digital Directorate as the Development Services Team will be key to many of the developments in this new strategy.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a Java EE Web Developer to join our software development scrum team. Candidates should ideally have previous experience in software development with a strong background in Java EE Web Development.
You should have knowledge and capabilities in the following areas:
- Java EE
- Java Server Faces (preferable)
- Web development (CSS, JavaScript. etc)
- Databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
- Solution Analysis and Design
This role will include the above but is not restricted to these responsibilities.
You will have a degree of autonomy within your role and will report to the Development Team Leader.
You will be offered training relevant to the role and there are opportunities for professional development and career progression within the wider directorate.
The Digital Team are currently based in Maryfield House, Dundee, however this may change in the future and there is some flexibility, with the team working remotely at times.
This is a permanent, full time post (37.5 hrs per week). Flexible working arrangements can be considered, and work base is negotiable. We aim to provide an environment that encourages work/life balance.
