We are looking for highly motivated and proactive individuals to join our friendly and supportive pharmacy team in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services to a variety of clinical areas throughout the Glasgow Royal Infirmary site. You will ensure the safe and effective supply of medicines to patients, co-ordinate and manage ward top-up services and be responsible for recycling & redistributing non-stock medicines that have been ordered for patients, helping to ensure that missed doses are avoided. You will also facilitate the transfer of patients own medicines to downstream wards to help reduce duplicate ordering, reduce drug expenditure and potential subsequent waste. You will be an integral member of the pharmacy team and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team including nurses, medical staff, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

You must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and be able to organise and prioritise your own workload and the workload of others. An SVQ/NVQ Level 2 pharmacy qualification or demonstrable training to equivalent level and 2 years’ experience of working in a pharmacy setting is essential along with good IT skills.
