An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dementia Training and Improvement Nurse to lead and support education in Dementia care, across Health and Social Care Partnerships within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
This post requires a 1st Level Registered Mental Health Nurse, educated to BSc Level, with evidence of continued professional development relevant to the role. The ability to demonstrate expert knowledge, experience and skills in dementia care will be essential to the role and you should be educated to Expertise Level of the Promoting Excellence Framework. Strategic awareness of the local and national Dementia agenda will be required. Experience in the facilitation of teaching and learning and the use of quality improvement methodology would also be highly advantageous.
Excellent presentation, IT, communication and motivational skills are essential attributes of the role. The post also requires leadership qualities and the ability to work autonomously, flexibly and as part of a team.
