NHS Lothian is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills to our full time Child Health Commissioner position (Band 8c). You will be the professional expert advisor to the NHS Board on all aspects of child health, health services and related policy and legislation.
We are looking for excellent communication and negotiation skills, in depth knowledge of the NHS and child health policy and legislation, and substantial experience of acting as an expert resource advising Chief Executives and senior stakeholders on all matters relating to child health and health services.
You will have extensive experience of working in complex, multiagency environments and a proven track record of effective strategic leadership, planning and policy development.
The Child Health Commissioner post is hosted by the Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy, within the Population Health Division. Our main office is based at Waverley Gate in central Edinburgh although hybrid working is the norm at present.
