A 1 year fixed term vacancy has arisen for a Transport Department Driver based at Raigmore Hospital.
Candidates will be experienced transport drivers with knowledge of statutory transport regulations, Health & Safety, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, Road Risk and Moving and Handling Regulations.
Candidates will be well organised and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will enjoy interacting with both transport staff and customers and should have a helpful and cheery personality. You will have a good knowledge of the local and Highland geographical area.
You will a current Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a valid tachograph digicard. Driving Licence category C1 is essential. You must be able to drive vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonne gvw.
Duties will involve manual handling, delivery and collection of laundry, mail, medical equipment, pharmacy, stores, controlled stationery and specimens to and from hospitals, medical establishments and care homes.
