Full time permanent Antimicrobial Pharmacist Band 8a, based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI), Glasgow.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacist to help promote antimicrobial stewardship for the north sector in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This post is based at GRI. The post holder will
• Promote antimicrobial Stewardship in the north sector.
• Work with the other antimicrobial pharmacists across GGC.
• Liaise with microbiology colleagues
• Review the use protected antimicrobials
• Support clinical pharmacists by answering clinical questions regarding antimicrobials.
• Clinically contribute to orthopaedic MDTs
• Help develop/ review antimicrobial guidelines
• Proactively contribute to meetings e.g. Antimicrobial Utilisation Committee meeting, Safer Use of Medicines meetings
• Be involved in junior doctor, pharmacist and nurse teaching
• Possibility of contributing to national work on antimicrobials
• Co-ordinate input to antimicrobial PGDs
Some experience in antimicrobials and pharmacokinetics is desirable. The post holder will work closely with the Microbiology Team at GRI.
