This is a part-time post for 22.5hrs offered on a fixed contract for 12 months.

The Orthopaedic outpatient department are looking for an experienced nurse with good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly around the department to join our nursing team. We have a reputation for being friendly and welcoming, whilst operating in a busy environment.

The Orthopaedic Outpatients Department in Glasgow Royal Infirmary delivers a varied range of care for patients pre-operatively for elective patients, patients with fractures/injuries and Pre-Operative patients for trauma and elective Orthopaedic surgery for the North of Glasgow.

The unit comprises of 60 Trauma Receiving, 27 Elective beds, Fracture and Orthopaedic clinics, this post is based the outpatients department. The successful candidate will be looking after patients at all stages in the Orthopaedic journey from initial consultation or injury to follow up. You will learn skills in casting, x-ray interpretation, and management of patients following fracture and surgery and Pre-Operative assessment. We are a close multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively across the unit. ​​​​​​​
