Digital Delivery Manager/Department Manager 

About the Organisation: 
As a vital part of NHSScotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership. We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.

The post: 
NSS Digital and Security are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join us as a Digital Delivery Manager (Department Manager), to lead a team of technical specialists delivering Digital Solutions for and on behalf of Public Health Scotland. This will involve being responsible for the delivery of our services, projects and products and managing the delivery teams building the solutions.   

Public Health Scotland is Scotland’s lead national agency for improving and protecting the health and wellbeing of all of Scotland’s people.  Focusing on prevention and early intervention, they aim to increase healthy life expectancy and reduce premature mortality by responding to the wider determinants that impact on people’s health and wellbeing. To do this, they use data, intelligence and a place-based approach to lead and deliver Scotland’s public health priorities.

The candidate:
A degree, or equivalent, is required plus significant experience in the delivery of enterprise-wide services and solutions, including supporting national platforms and technology implementation, project team management, digital planning and delivery to ensure successful roll out of changes to products. 

You must be able to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams and have ability to quickly establish your credibility with customers and staff at all levels as you will be responsible for working with stakeholders on business change management and support the implementation of a number of key national products and innovative solutions. 

The post holder must have strong knowledge of agile methodology and be able to apply the agile mindset to all aspects of their work. Successful candidates will be strong communicators, with an enthusiastic, proactive attitude.

Location and working pattern:
Various NSS Locations / Flexible
Full time – 37.5 hours 

We are currently working in a hybrid model, which is currently under review, and we would welcome a discussion from candidates not based near the above locations to discuss the logistics of this.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
