This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Surgical Nurse to join the team on 6 month Secondment

Senior Charge Nurse with ELLSA Role - Fixed Term 6 months Band 7

An exciting opportunity for a Band 7 registered nurse to help lead our enthusiastic  receiving surgical nursing team in Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

This role will provide specialist ELLSA (Emergency laparotomy and laparoscopy Scottish Audit) assessment, advice and interventions to a complex patient group.

.As a skilled and experienced nursing professional you will evidence the ability to provide dynamic clinical leadership to the nursing team and the delivery of person centred care in a safe and effective clinical environment.  Team focused and motivated you will manage the performance and develop the skill set of your nursing team as we consolidate our growing service within an exciting environment. You will lead on service development and quality improvement as well as developing and facilitating ELLSA education for all staff groups .

It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and have evidence of continuing professional development to degree level or working towards.

You should evidence substantial post registration experience within the relevant area and / or demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice developed through experience and theoretical knowledge. A knowledge of service and quality improvement would be advantageous.
