The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced podiatrist to join a large service covering Edinburgh and the Lothians.  We welcome enthusiastic applicants who will strive to deliver the best possible care for their patients and who wish to be a part of a busy and innovative team.

The NHS Lothian Podiatry Department is a highly motivated team with a vision of a modern, quality service with learning at its core, improving the foot health of our communities.  We are hosted by West Lothian Health & Social Care Partnership but the service covers Edinburgh, East, Mid and West Lothian and requires the successful candidate to travel independently within the service area.

Our Specialist Podiatrists work in both the clinic and domiciliary settings, providing highly effective assessment and treatment plans to those with wounds, at high risk of foot ulceration and complications, and MSK conditions.  They work collaboratively as part of a MDT providing support to podiatrists and students.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate effective leadership and relevant up-to-date CPD.

An induction programme is provided and one-to-one supervision is offered to all staff on an ongoing basis.  Staff are actively encouraged to develop their clinical and leadership skills and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
