Due to the continued development and remodelling of our unscheduled care service, we are seeking to appoint 2 individuals to support the phlebotomy requirements across our acute inpatient wards.
The main duties of the post will be the collection of blood by venepuncture, across the inpatient wards and associated clinics however during periods of reduced activity you would be supported to work alongside the healthcare assistants in the wards. The successful candidate will also be required to be flexible in order to rotate covering all areas of the PRI site. Previous experience would be an advantage; however, training will be provided.
The hours of work will be between 8am and 12 midday, 5 days a week over Monday to Sunday including public holidays.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
