Outreach & Day Support Worker

S.I.L.C. Support Service, Portree

37.5 hours per week, Permanent

Salary Scale:  Band 3 £21,709 to £23,603 pro rata per annum 


Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty.

The Outreach and Day Support Worker, Day Care, provides support to enable people with a learning disability to engage in activities in the community. This role works in a person-centred, outcome-based approach to enable others to achieve their goals.  Engagement in activities contributes significantly to the person’s wellbeing as well as inclusion in their community. ​​​​​​​

The role includes weekday, evening and weekend working to ensure individuals can undertake the activities they choose to when these activities are available.  Access to a vehicle and a full driving license is essential. The role is supervised day to day by the Senior Support Workers and is accountable to the Outreach and Day Support Services Manager. For further information please refer to the Job Description.
