CONSULTANT IN CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY

Post 1: 10PA per week        Post 2: 8 PA per week


£91,474 - £121,548 per annum pro rata (2022 – 2023 Rates)​​​​​​​


A full-time and part-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist posts are available to meet service demand.  The successful applicant will provide clinical leadership within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) alongside the Clinical Leads for CAMHS and other senior members of the team to deliver high quality clinical care and promote a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approach to the delivery of care.


These posts are based at the Phoenix Centre, Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. Peripheral clinics are currently being considered for outlying areas. Site provision to the rural areas is under current review and have increased the use of teleconference facilities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in order to improve continued delivery of the service to areas some distance from Inverness.  There is currently a review of on call cover across NHS Highland for out of hours Mental Health Services.  There is currently no out of hour’s commitment.  Active engagement in local, regional and national CPD will be expected.
