We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic registered nurses to join our NHS Fife Elective Orthopaedic Outpatient nursing team in a new, state of the art, purpose built Orthopaedic centre.
The National Treatment Centre – Fife Orthopaedics is based within the grounds of the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy and will provide care for elective orthopaedic patients. The centre is currently under construction and is due to be completed by end of October 2022, with activity starting early January 2023. The centre has 3 theatres, 7 bedded recovery areas, a 34-bedded inpatient ward and a dedicated Orthopaedic Outpatient Department. NHS Fife Orthopaedics have led the way in delivering an innovative and excellent service, currently providing same day major joint replacement surgery, implementing the philosophy of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) and providing excellent standards of care.
The Outpatient Department will deliver consultant, nurse and AHP led clinics, seeing both elective and fracture/trauma outpatients, featuring innovative digital design to deliver excellent forward thinking care.   
These posts will suit enthusiastic nurses who would like to develop specialist skills in a friendly and supportive team within this new dynamic service.  We are looking for caring and compassionate nurses with an interest in orthopaedic skill development to provide exceptional care to our patients. You will be offered excellent learning opportunities and experiences for professional and personal development in line with the 2030 nursing vision.
You must have effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Personal qualities should include exemplary organisational skills together with a motivated positive approach and the ability to work productively within the team.
